German Pronunciation

In this lesson you will learn how to pronounce certain letter combinations in German. This video is meant for beginners who just started to learn German and need some guidance in terms of pronunciation. The examples used are all part of A1. I will read each example twice. To practice your pronunciation I recommend to pause the video inbetween and pronounce the word out loud.

These are tips and methods which I used myself when learning a new language AND methods I saw my students doing. Students who improved way faster than the other students. So these are methods which do work. Even though they are a bit old school sometimes... 😉 But it also takes a lot work. Don't expect it to be easy. 💪🍀🍀😊

Infinitiv OHNE zu | When you can NOT use "zu" | B1+

A lot of important verbs can be used in a so called "Infinitivsatz". Meaning: a sentence where you have a second verb in infinitive together with "zu". BUT: Of course. There are some exceptions. These exceptions are: Modal verbs, some specific verbs, Futur I and a specific Konjunktiv II type. I will go through all these in this video and you will also get examples for each.

In this video you will learn the Top 20 most common, most used German verbs which can be used in a "Infinitivsatz" (infinitive sentence). Meaning: You can make sentences with zu + infinitive. Most of them can also be used with a "dass" sentence. But! using a Infinitivsatz levels up your German and just sounds better. The bonus tip is about the verb "brauchen", which has its own rule when it comes to the usage of "Infinitiv mit zu". And it's an important tip.

In this B1.1 level video you will learn when and how you can use the German "Infinitiv mit zu". What verbs, adjectives and nouns you can use to build those useful, not difficult but important sentences. Infinitive is the original form of the verb. This means the verb is not conjugated, just like you saw it for the first time. And you can use this construction after specific verbs, adjectives and nouns. You will find the most common ones here in this description below.
