The German verb "lassen" is a very important and common used verb. But also a very complicated and difficult one. It can be used as a main verb or like a modal verb or even a substitute for the passive form. So you see loads of different options. hi - very well explained...nice examples. I am new to this so still trying to wrap my head around this verb - would this sentence fall under #5 -- stop doing something:

Bitte lass deine Füße vom Kaffeetisch.

Sort of like stop putting your feet on the table.....

Yes, that is an example of "lassen" meaning 'to Stop doing something '.
I'm also learning German.
